We can provide this information by request.
Most meat markets can fillet your fish and vacuum seal and freeze
it for travel.
Most all large chain stores like
Wall Mart, Joe's, BI Mart and Fred Meyers sell fishing licenses at
their service counter. Many of our guide sell them onboard and all
charter offices sell them in their office. You will only need a
one-day licenses which is $12.00.
Most all ocean charter boats have a bathroom (head) onboard.
Guide boats do not have an enclosed bathroom, but some do have
port-a-potties onboard. Guides can and will typically take clients
to a near by land based restroom if needed.
Charter trips are tippically run in the ocean, bays and lower
tide waters of coastal areas. These trips are on larger boats from
30 to 50 feet in length that can accommodate from 6 to 20 persons.
Guide trips are run in smaller boats. The size depends on the
type of trip. Drift boat trips are run in 16 to 20 foot non
motorized boats. Jet sled power boat trips are run in 24 to 26
foot boats.
That depends on the type of fish you want to catch. Some fish,
like white sturgeon, bite year-round while others like walleye bite
better at certain times of the year.
There are also quota based fisheries like halibut, salmon and
sturgeon. These fisheries have set limits each year and once
that limit is reached the fishery is closed.
We will be happy to answer any questions you my have
regarding quota based fisheries. Please call our office at
503-720-9033.
